Acupuncture treats all kinds of sport injury and pain whether from golf, running, cycling, football, hurling, tennis etc
Examples include shoulder pain-frozen shoulder, back pain, knee, joint and muscular pain.
Electro Stimulation may be used to help treat muscle weakness, muscle pain, muscle spasm and muscle atrophy. Electrical stimulation will affect the body by stimulating muscles to contract; helping to strengthen the muscles, stimulating nerves to decrease pain; increasing blood flow to speed healing and reduce inflammation.
Cupping is also used here for treating Athletes as it can help increase blood flow to a particular muscle region or help reduce pain. Numerous athletes in the Olympics in Rio 2016 used cupping – as seen on some of the US Swim Team.
The benefits of cupping include local pain relief, softening tight muscles, muscle relaxation. Cupping again improves overall health.
The more traditional method is used here creating a suction by applying heat to the cup (glass cups) from a lighted instrument hence the name ‘fire cupping’.
The cups are left in place anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the nature of the individuals condition.
Ultimately, fire cupping can give wonderful relief from body aches and pains in very quick time and can be very effective in loosening tight, stiff and relieving taut muscles pressing on nerves.
“I tried Acupuncture and Cupping with Natalie after suffering with shoulder and neck pain for quite some time. After 3 sessions I had a significant improvement in my pain and could now sleep again on my side. I am now also back playing golf. Very pleased with my Acupuncture treatments.”
